Musk wants to take DOGE to the actual moon before BTC

Bitcoin broker BitMEX announced that in November 2021 it will send Bitcoin to the actual moon. In recent days, Bitcoin broker BitMEX has announced that it will ship a physical Bitcoin currency to the lunar surface.

On June 4th, on her twitter profile, Bitcoin broker BitMEX posted: “It’s official – Bitcoin is going to the Moon! See how BitMEX is supporting a mission to put 1 bitcoin on the Moon.”

Will Elon Musk be able to send Dogecoin to the moon just to win “space race”?

Asked about the initiative, Elon Musk believes that another cryptocurrency could also reach the moon, revealing that a new space race has started.

Musk is CEO of SpaceX, which has a contract with NASA to operate space travel and missions. However, Bitcoin will depart in November 2021 for the moon through another company in its transport.

Seeing the largest digital currency being sent to Earth’s natural satellite, the community was reminded of Elon Musk’s promises to bring Dogecoin to the moon: “SpaceX is going to put a literal Dogecoin on the literal moon”

Whether Musk’s statement was an April Fools joke or not is impossible to say yet, but given the billionaire’s penchant for extraordinary actions and statements, it may well turn out to be true.

Another controversial tweet from Musk: “A new space race has begun!”

In the cryptocurrency market, the “moon” is used by fans of digital coins as a reference for a large increase in the price of coins. In 2021, Bitcoin went “to the moon”, several times in its price, but a physical currency is expected to get there as well.

The announcement was made by BitMEX last week, claiming that it will place 1 Bitcoin inside a physical currency, taking it to the moon. In the future, anyone who visits the moon could become the owner of the coin.

After the announcement of the initiative, BitMEX was asked why it was sending Bitcoin and not Dogecoin. In response, the broker said that it has nothing against the dog meme coin, but that it believed it more important to take the main cryptocurrency first.

However, BitMEX’s initiative was eventually associated with one by Elon Musk, who announced in May 2021 that it would send a Dogecoin satellite to the moon.

Seeing the BitMEX CEO’s response about taking Bitcoin first, Musk made it clear that a new space race has started, making it clear that he intends to ship Dogecoin before Bitcoin.

“Space Race”: Dogecoin Fans Call for Musk to Run on Launch

Upon seeing Elon Musk’s position in the case, some of the DOGE community even pressured the billionaire CEO of SpaceX to send Dogecoin’s satellite to the moon soon, in comments on Twitter itself.

It is noteworthy that no date has yet been confirmed by SpaceX for a mission related to Dogecoin.

In the case of the mission that will take Bitcoin, the probable date will be set in the month of next November. BitMEX has stated that it will ship a physical currency, inside a time capsule, with 1 BTC inside.

The moon’s relationship with the cryptocurrency community has never been closer, with even a space race between Dogecoin and Bitcoin being waged. Indeed, the case will be followed by fans of both digital currencies, who are now rooting for their favorite to land on the moon in the first place.

Bitcoin Broker BitMEX: Bitcoin is going to the Moon

For more details about the project, the website moonb.tc was created, presenting the idea of BitMEX and Astrobotic, which even has a contract with NASA.

“The coin will be a registered payload on the Peregrine-1 manifest, and will remain in situ on the Moon’s surface until any enterprising soul goes to collect it. It will have a public vanity address allowing anyone interested to witness its redemption or add some Sats if you’re feeling generous.”

“Join us in celebrating Bitcoin’s lasting impact upon the world.”

Bitcoin is going to the Moon: “Bitcoin will change forever”

To keep the asset on the moon BitMEX has developed a physical Bitcoin currency. This special coin was loaded with 1 Bitcoin.

“A one-of-a-kind physical coin marks the momentous event. One side dedicated to the triumphs of aerospace, the other to crypto. Capturing this historic moment in time, the coin shows the current Bitcoin hashrate, the year, and a quote from Satoshi Nakamoto.”

“Only one coin will be sent to the Moon, but a limited edition series of Bitcoin-loaded commemorative coins will be made available on Earth before the launch.”
