Nike has confirmed a public presale for its most recent partnership with the digital fashion brand RTFKT. Unlike earlier releases, the RTFKT Dunk Genesis collection, the latest sneakers, can be obtained without requiring to own a corresponding RTFKT non-fungible token (NFT).
Two incredible editions of these sneakers are scheduled to hit the market. They include the Nike x RTFKT Dunk VOID Edition and Dunk Ghost Edition, available for $222 apiece. Apart from these sneakers, an associated t-shirt is available, featuring brand logos and the catchphrase “Oops, You Stepped Into the Future”.

Advanced Design and Customization
The Dunk Genesis sneakers are designed to continue RTFKT’s tradition of advanced design, having features such as a “Modular Heel Shield” and a detachable “Vial Clip Tongue” to enable users to customize their sneakers. Buyers will get 3D files for the sneakers, allowing them to create their own modifications for the shoes.
The new generation of sneakers also incorporates an NFC chip- the RTFKT World Merging chip. Interestingly, the new feature lets owners link the physical shoes to a digital asset and acquire a related digital collectible.
On that note, both editions of the Dunk Genesis collection have already published a possible ship date; the VOID Edition by July 31, 2024, and the Ghost Edition by August 31, 2024. This variant might introduce distinctive elements like LED lighting, interactive components, or even features enabled by augmented reality (AR), aligning seamlessly with RTFKT’s emphasis on digital and virtual fashion.
