The trendsetting Web3 media and gaming firm, Orange Comet, is betting large on 13-year-old artistic genius Doodle Boy. The LA-based firm said on March 16 that it is partnering with Joe Whale, popularly called Doodle Boy, to create an NFT collection known as “The Remarkables”.

Who Is Orange Comet?

Orange Comet’s primary goal is to become the “world’s premiere Web3 entertainment company driving the digital revolution.” With CEO Dave Broome at the helm, Orange Comet has partnered with many huge IP brands and franchises. Their NFT collection features projects from Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches series, The Walking Dead, and Sir Anthony Hopkins.

These impressive partnerships come as no surprise since Orange Comet has an impressive team of advisors and investors. Their team features celebrities like Grammy award winners Gloria and Emilio Estefan, Superbowl Champion Kurt Warner, and Star Trek’s William Shatner.

Who Is Doodle Boy?

Doodle Boy is described as a 13-year-old artist who lives in Shrewsbury, UK named Joe Whale. He started drawing at the age of 3 and has already worked with huge brands like Disney, Nike, and Pixar. This young creator boasts over 160k followers on his personal Instagram account. Also, he has got endorsements and recognitions from the future King and Queen of England, Prince William, and Kate Middleton.

Doodle Boy mainly draws inspiration from his environment and surroundings. He uses black markers to create whimsical and funny cartoon characters on a white canvas and murals. His now nonfungible token (NFT) collection will feature 3,500 new characters in his trademark doodle style. After the mint on April 25, Orange Comet is expected to color the doodles and make them into clay renderings, and later animate them.

The artist said that he is quite excited to dive further into NFTS. He commented:

“I’ve only ever drawn with a black marker and a blank sheet of canvas, but I’ve always imagined my art coming to life in other formats in my head. It’s amazing that my fans and I will have the unique opportunity to experience my drawings in motion through the power of animation.”

Interestingly, “The Remarkables” collection will work as the first step in the development of a bigger Web3 world filled with vivid characters and immersive storytelling. By harnessing the potential of the young and imaginative savant Doodle Boy, Orange Comet aims to remain at the top in the nascent space of Web3 media.
