Walmart has become the latest top brand to secure a perfect spot in the Roblox metaverse. The company unveiled Walmart Land and Walmart’s Universe of Play. On September 26, the brand confirmed its jump into Roblox while debuting the two majorly immersive virtual experiences.

Interestingly, Walmart wants to boost ties with clients who use Roblox. However, they are not the first ones to do that. For example, earlier in 2022, Gucci joined Roblox. Many people now wonder, what are Walmart Land and Walmart’s Universe of play within Roblox?

Walmart Land In Roblox Overview

Walmart strives to offer clients distinct interactive entertainment via the Roblox metaverse experience. It means that they would be “bringing to life the best of Walmart’s ‘isles’ in a virtual world.”

Therefore, the purpose of Walmart Land is to deliver the best style, beauty, fashion, and entertainment to the Roblox community which features 52 million users. Through this, users can access some virtual merchandise (verch), tokens earned via games, and a Physics-defying Ferris wheel.

Additionally, Walmart Land debuted with three major experiences to attract the next generations of buyers. The experiences include an ‘electric island’ for music lovers, an ‘electric fest’ for concert lovers, and a ‘house of style’ for fashion lovers.

Walmart’s Universe of Play In Roblox Metaverse

Walmart’s Universe of Play strives to become Roblox’s ultimate virtual toy destination. The universe features different immersive games where the users can play up to five different games that provide a variety of experiences.

Hence, users need to collect as many virtual toys as they can to earn coin rewards. In general, Walmart’s Universe of Play will offer users virtual adventures using items like hoverboards with which the avatars can travel the entire universe.

After seeing the way Walmart is excited about its move into the Roblox metaverse, it appears like it will not be backing down any time soon. Interestingly, they encouraged clients who use Roblox to check out Walmart Isles to get verch and unlock some exclusive content.

After Various brands like Nikeland and Ralph Lauren have enjoyed success with their Roblox move, some people are now curious whether Walmart will also enjoy success in the metaverse.

Roblox will serve as a perfect testing space for Walmart as it aims to move in the metaverse, NFTs and beyond, as highlighted by Walmart’s chief marketing officer, William White. He stated that the experiences are well-designed with the next generation of shoppers in mind, mainly Gen Z, who are around age 25 or younger.

White insisted that the firm is striving to learn from this partnership:

“How are we driving relevance in cultural conversation? How are we developing community and engagement? How are we moving the needle from a brand favorability [standpoint] with younger audiences?” he said. “That’s what we’re trying to accomplish here.”
